District Math Framework
Lighthouse Public School entered into the Strong Foundations Planning process for mathematics in 2023-2024. LPS is committed to continually improving math instruction for all students in all classrooms. In order to do this, we engaged in a process to collectively create a District Mathematics Framework. This framework ensuring that all of the Research Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS) are embedded into daily math instruction. The framework also ensures what high quality instructional materials must provide in order to reach high levels of math success. LPS used comprehensive approach to the development of the math framework that included input from parents, community members, teachers, instructional assistants, special programs staff, administrators, and board members to create the final document.
