My name is Mr. Henry, and I am proud to be a Lighthouse Public Schools Seahawk. I am from San Antonio, Tx, received my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Texas at San Antonio. This will be my 4th year at Lighthouse Public Schools.
 
 
I have a true passion for working with our youngest learners!! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development, academically, socially, and artistically. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment.
I look forward to working together with you as parents in your child’s growth and development as an artist!!

Pre-K student Kristopher was the main driving force behind 3,6,9. After watching Kristopher create an entire art piece consisting of just numbers and letters and drawing inspiration from American painter, sculptor and printmaker Jasper Johns, whose work is associated with abstract expressionism, Neo Dada, and pop art, we were able to create and execute 2,4,6,8.

Description: AMERICAN FLAG is a collaborative art piece created by the students of Lighthouse Public Schools ( Pre-K - 8th grade). Veterans Day was the driving force behind AMERICAN FLAG. According to Army regulation 670-1: The American flag patch is to be worn, right or left shoulder, so that the star field faces forward, or to the flag’s own right. When worn in this manner, the flag is facing to the observers right, and gives the effect of the flag flying in the breeze as the wearer moves forward. Jasper Johns, an American painter, sculptor and printmaker whose work is associated with abstract expressionism, Neo Dada, and pop art, was also a major driving force behind AMERICAN FLAG.

Description: MY SINGING MONSTERS is a collaborative art piece created by the students of Lighthouse Public Schools ( Pre-K - 8th grade). Amazingly, all of these individual characters came out of the imagination of 1st grader Evan. After collecting several of his in class drawings and drawing inspiration from Russian painter Wassily Kandinsky, a colorful and imaginative abstract painter, we were able to create and execute MY SINGING MONSTERS.

Description: COMPOSITION 1 is a collaborative art piece created by the students of Lighthouse Public Schools ( Pre-K - 8th grade). 5th grader Gabriel was the driving force behind COMPOSITION 1. Drawing inspiration from both Gabriel’s intuitive ability to use colors, shapes and lines and Dutch painter Piet Mondrian an artist best known for his abstract paintings, we were able to create and execute COMPOSITION 1.

Description: NFWA is a collaborative art piece created by the students of Lighthouse Public Schools ( Pre-K - 8th grade). Hispanic Heritage month and Cesar Estrada Chavez, an American labor leader and Latino American civil rights activist were the driving force behind NFWA.

Mi nombre es Sr. Henry, y estoy orgulloso de ser un faro de Escuelas Públicas Seahawk. Soy de San Antonio, Tx, recibí el título de soltero en Artes Fines de la Universidad de Texas en San Antonio. Este será mi primer año en las Escuelas Públicas de Lighthouse.

¡Tengo una verdadera pasión por trabajar con nuestros alumnos más jóvenes! Ayudar a cada niño a avanzar en todas las esferas de su desarrollo, académica, social y artísticamente. Me esfuerzo por crear una comunidad de alumnos que alimenta este crecimiento en un entorno positivo y divertido.
