Mrs. Danielle Navarro, 504 Coordinator / Reading Interventionist
Hey all! My name is Danielle Navarro. I graduated from UTSA in 2015 with a BA in Psychology with a concentration in child development. I went on to get my alternative teaching certificate in 2017 (EC-6 & EC-12 Special Education). I use my certifications in my role as a reading interventionist and 504 Coordinator to ensure student success in the classroom.
I have been a teacher at Lighthouse Public Schools for the past 4 years, but I have worked with children in the public school and preschool setting for the past 10 years. I started in 2017 teaching Kindergarten at Lighthouse and did so until 2019. Last year, I took over the role as reading interventionist and 504 Coordinator.
In my role, I am dedicated to promoting the educational needs of our scholars in order to prepare them for the challenges they will face in the classroom and beyond. My expectation is that all the students who come through my classroom will thrive academically as well as socially and emotionally.
