Mrs. Danielle Navarro, Reading Interventionist
My name is Danielle Navarro. I graduated from UTSA in 2015 with my bachelor's in Psychology with a concentration in child development. I went on to get my alternative teaching certificate in 2017 (EC-6 & EC-12 Special Education). I use my certifications in my role as a reading and dyslexia interventionist to ensure student success in the classroom.
I have been a teacher at Lighthouse Public Schools for the past 3 years, but I have worked with children in the public school and preschool setting for the past 10 years. I started in 2017 teaching Kindergarten and did so until last year. This past summer, I attended multiple trainings in reading and identification of dyslexia. This allowed me to pursue my current role in working with students with dyslexia and students who need more help with reading.
In my classroom, I am dedicated to promoting the educational needs of our scholars in order to prepare them for the challenges they will face in the classroom and beyond. My expectation is that all the students who come through my classroom will thrive.
