Welcome to the 5th Grade Math Class!  This 2025 - 2026 School Year is going to be AMAZING!!!

 

A little bit about myself. I have been in the education system for the last 15 years as a Substitute Teacher, Paraprofessional, and Teacher. I have also served as a Early Childhood Curriculum/RTI Coordinator, Title I Coordinator and Special Education Coordinator.  My passion for teaching comes from that "Ah-ha" moment when a student understands the objective of the lesson.

 

This year we will use the Math curriculum, Bluebonnet, and the computer applications, iReady and Magma Math. If your 5th Grader is a returning student to LPS, he/she will be familiar with the curriculum as it is similar to Eureka.  We will continue to build on the skills and concepts of math that will prepare him/her for the STAAR test in April.

 

Aside from my love of teaching, my first love is my family of three (3) humans and two (2) dogs.  My husband, Edward and I have been married for 22 years.  We have a daughter, Pariz, who is 20 and attends the University of Connecticut (UCONN).  And I can't leave out our dogs, Loki and Thor. 

 

Again, I am excited for this 2025 - 2026 school year and the growth of knowledge your student will gain.
