Ashley Villarreal

My name is Ashley Villarreal and I am excited to be joining Lighthouse Public Schools as your music teacher. I attended the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a concentration in Voice. For the past five years, I have taught middle school choir, and I am excited to begin my sixth year in education as the K-12 Music Teacher at Lighthouse Public Schools in San Antonio. I believe music education plays a vital role in promoting student success in both school and life. My goal is to create a positive classroom environment where every child feels welcomed, encouraged and excited to explore the joy of making music. I am honored to be a part of the Lighthouse Public Schools community and look forward to a wonderful school year!

Mi nombre es Ashley Villarreal y estoy muy emocionada de unirme a Lighthouse Public Schools como su maestra de música. Asistí a la Universidad de Texas Rio Grande Valley, donde obtuve mi licenciatura en Educación Musical con concentración en Canto. Durante los últimos cinco años, he impartido clases de coro a nivel secundaria, y estoy muy emocionada de comenzar mi sexto año en la educación como maestra de Música de K-12 en Lighthouse Public Schools en San Antonio. Creo que la educación musical desempeña un papel fundamental en el desarrollo y éxito de los estudiantes, tanto dentro como fuera de la escuela. Mi objetivo es crear un ambiente positivo en el salón de clases donde cada estudiante se sienta bienvenido, motivado y entusiasmado por descubrir la alegría de hacer música. Es un honor formar parte de la comunidad de Lighthouse Public Schools y espero con entusiasmo tener un maravilloso año escolar junto a ustedes.
