Andrea Lucas

Hi! 

I'm excited to join the Lighthouse team as I launch into my 23rd year in education! I graduated in 2002 from Trinity University with my bachelor's degree in economics and in 2003 with my master's degree in teaching. I taught elementary school (kindergarten, 3rd, and 4th grade) for 16 years in both Judson ISD and SAISD before moving into an instructional leadership role. I am passionate about designing thoughtful professional development and implementing instructional practices that provide all students with authentic learning opportunities. As an instructional coach I've worked with school leaders and teachers to create a culture of learning, improve educational outcomes, implement high quality instructional materials, and engage students. I believe every student deserves a great school and a great teacher. Outside of school I enjoy visiting my parents in Minnesota, swimming, reading, traveling, eating at great restaurants with friends, and playing pickle ball.
