Hello all! 

 

I’m Ms. Russell and I'm excited to be part of the Light House Public School community! I've been in education for almost ten years. I've taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade and core content areas like math, science, history, reading, grammar and writing. 

 

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English. My teaching philosophy is all about collaborating. My job is to teach, nurture and help our students learn and grow. To do this it takes the students, caregivers and me to pull together to ensure that the students feel safe, seen, and willing to put in the work to want to learn and grow. Patience, kindness and grace is always welcomed and practiced.

This year, I’ll be teaching English Language Arts. 

 

When I'm not teaching, I'm reading, cooking and trying new recipes, dancing to music, watching detective mysteries, and enjoying the outside.
