7th Grade Reading Celebration

Ms. Whitaker’s 7th grade class recently finished “Red Scarf Girl: A Memoir of the Cultural Revolution.” The book focuses on the experiences of a middle school student growing up in 1960s Communist China.
Today, the students had their final book talk over “Red Scarf Girl,” and thanks to @goldenwoksatx, they got to enjoy some delicious Chinese food, too! In order to earn this treat, each student was required to complete a 5 paragraph argumentative essay over the book. Lo mein, egg rolls and cheese puffs made accomplishing this task even more satisfying!🥡✍️
